Privacy Policy
Introduction
Allzwell aims to empower people living with Alzheimer’s by keeping them updated on the latest developments on the 2,000+ conditions we have on our platform (ranging from news articles, FDA approvals, treatments and latest research), providing condition management features, and social matching with other users, thus empowering the person with dementia on their medical journey. Our commitment is to be transparent about the data we collect about you, how it is used and with whom it is shared.
This Privacy Policy applies to the application, including all of its features and functionalities (“App”) offered by Allzwell (referred to herein as “Allzwell” or “we”) to users of the App (referred to herein as “you”).
1.1 Data We collect
You don’t have to create an account to use our App. For example, you may search and view some of our articles and news in our feed, and access our health management tools without creating an account. If you create an account, we collect only the following data: email address, password and full name.
If you decide to be anonymous, no email address or name, there is no data collection. Your account will be a unique code that is not linked to your identity.
1.2 Registration
Allzwell provides the option to create an account or you can register for our App by logging in through third-party websites or apps.
To create an account, you need to provide data including a display name, email address, be over 18 years old, and create a password.
1.3 Profile
Allzwell’s user profile includes information such as display name, brief biography, an email address, DOB, condition followed and country of residence ,this is optional. However, all the information in a user profile is not displayed as public information.
Your display name and username are always public to others users of the app, but you can use either your real name or a pseudonym. The photo and the brief biography are also public information but not mandatory to be filled out when you create a profile. If you choose to use the social matching feature on our App, your Allzwell profile will be also used to match you with similar users on App (as described further in the section titled “Social Matching” below).
1.4 Posting, Uploading and Other Uses of the App
We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload personal data on the App, such as when you like, create or share information on the App. We may also collect certain data associated with the personal data you provide, post or upload, , such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. We also collect information about how you use our App features, including the types of content you view or engage with or the frequency and duration of your activities.
1.5 Our Services
1.5.1 Medicine Reminder
In our section “Medicine reminder” we gather information such as: name or pseudonym of the medicine to take, the dose, indications and the periodicity that the user needs or desires to take his/her medicine. As permitted by its configuration, notifications are sent according to the time, setup as a reminder.
1.6 Cookies
We may collect cookies, which are text files that are saved on your device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, etc.). Types of cookies we may use include “session cookies” which are data files stored in temporary memory on your device and are not retained on your device after your browser is closed, and “persistent cookies”, which are data files that remain stored on your device after your browser is closed and which are capable of providing websites with user preferences, settings and information for future visits.
Data from Others
2.1 Content and News
ALLZWELL collects certain publicly available information including, for example, news, medical articles, videos, and clinical trials information related to the user’s chosen interest, and makes such information available as part of our services, including, as permitted by its configuration, sending notifications to users about such information.
Allzwell also displays informational material from third parties through the App. Bottom of Form
Use of Data We Collect
The information we collect is used for the purposes described below:
- General communication – we use your personal information to respond to your inquiries and otherwise communicate with you
- Marketing communication – we use your personal information to send you marketing communications, as described further in the “Marketing Communications” section below
- Provision of App – we use your personal information for the provision of our App to you (for example, we use your health information to send you medication reminders if you use that feature of our App).
- Improvement of App – we are always trying to improve our App and think of new and exciting features for our users. From time to time, we may conduct surveys or test features, and analyze the information we have to develop, evaluate and improve these features.
- Informational material – we use the data from your devices or smart watches to provide general informational material to you based on vitals and tracked information.
- Cookies – we may use session and persistent cookies on our website. We may use these cookies for purposes such as operating our App, as necessary, and for remembering your preferences. You can always delete or disable cookies that are not necessary for the operation of our App through the settings of your browser or device. If you delete or disable cookies, certain features of the App may not function as intended.
Marketing Communications
If you consent to receive marketing communications from us, we may use your personal information (including your name and contact information) to send such communications to you. Marketing communications may include, for example, updates about our services and other advertising materials that may be of interest to you. In our marketing communications to you via email, we will include an unsubscribe link in the email which allows you to opt out of receiving further marketing emails from us. If you consent to receive marketing communications, you may also opt out at any time by emailing us at [email protected]
Sharing of Data
We share your data for the purposes described below:
- Children Under 13
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Please notify us at [email protected] you become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13.
Requests for Deletion of Data
You can request your data to be deleted by sending an email to [email protected] and add on the subject line “Info Delete Request”. In your request, please specify the data you are requesting to be deleted. We will honor your request except in cases where we are required to retain it (e.g., where we must keep the data to comply with a legal requirement).
Links to Third-Party Websites
Our App may include links to third-party websites, but we do not endorse such third-party websites or the content therein in any manner and are not responsible for the privacy practices of the operators of third-party websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies which may apply to your use of third-party websites.
Data Retention
We retain data until the purposes of using such data described in this Privacy Policy have been fulfilled, or until we delete such data in accordance with your request, in each case in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable measures designed to protect the security and integrity of the data that we collect and store. We regularly assess the effectiveness of these measures and may adjust them, as appropriate, to adequately protect data. Despite the measures we implement, please be aware that there are certain inherent risks in transmitting data over the Internet and therefore we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access to or use of your data will never occur.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice to you. We will make updated versions of this Privacy Policy available through our App. Please check the Privacy Policy within the App frequently to ensure you have reviewed the most recent version.
